What are book wrap mailers?

Book wrap mailers are a cardboard postal wrap that folds tightly around the contents to make one of the best book packaging products available, offering rigid, tough protection — especially on the corners, where books take the most damage in transit. Self-seal — built for the packing bench

Our self-seal book wraps have an integrated peel-and-seal glue strip covered with a silicone release backing. It's a pressure-sensitive adhesive with a very aggressive tack that forms a strong, tamper-resistant bond to seal the wrap shut — stronger than double-sided tape, and with no separate taping step. That means faster packing, higher throughput, and one less consumable on the bench. A frustration-free tear strip runs the closure for clean, tool-free opening. Self-seal wraps are available across a range of sizes and styles.

Eco-credentials that stand up.  Our book wraps are manufactured in the UK for a lower transport carbon footprint, using 80%–100% recycled fibre depending on the range, and they're kerbside-recyclable and biodegradable at end of life. Royal Mail postage & size guide

Get the postage band right.  Royal Mail prices by format, and the costly jump is from Large Letter to Small Parcel — triggered the moment your packed item exceeds 25mm thick or 750g. Because book wraps adjust to the depth of your contents, you control which band you land in. Pack flat and light to stay in Large Letter; the table below shows each wrap's flat footprint against Royal Mail formats so you can post for less.

Royal Mail format limits (2026)

Format is decided by the largest dimension and the final packed thickness and weight together — not by the wrap's maximum depth capacity.

Book wrap range vs Royal Mail formats

The A5/C1, C2 and A4 wraps qualify for Large Letter only when packed under 25mm thick and 750g — ideal for single paperbacks, thin catalogues, CDs/DVDs and slim media. Pack them deeper and they become Small Parcels, so keep contents flat to hold the cheaper rate. The 326×280 and A3 (420×320) wraps exceed Large Letter on width or length regardless of depth, so they always post as Small Parcel — best reserved for hardbacks, multi-book orders and gifts where the wrap's deeper capacity earns its place.

Self Seal Book Wrap Range

Our self seal book wrap range have a handy peel & seal glue strip that can be used to seal the book wrap closed. Book wraps with peel & seal are much faster to pack with and help to increase efficiency in the packing department. Rather than taping the book wraps closed, self seal book mailers have an integrated glue strip covered with a silicone release backing paper. This glue strip is a pressure sensitive glue with a very aggressive tack and will create a strong bond to seal the book wrap shut.
