What the PPWR requires
The PPWR applies to all packaging placed on the EU market and progressively introduces requirements covering recyclability, minimum recycled content, reduction of unnecessary packaging, and clear labelling to support correct sorting and recycling. Manufacturers, importers, and distributors are each responsible for ensuring the packaging they place on the market meets the relevant requirements and for holding the supporting documentation.
