Steel Strapping

Steel Strapping is a traditional high strength strapping that can achieve high tension levels for very heavy loads. Steel strapping is often used in the steel and engineering industry where its high load capabilities come into its own.

Although it is very strong it is not suitable for all heavy loads, as the stiff hard steel doesn’t conform easily to pallet contours causing damage on corners and surfaces. Another area to watch out for is corrosion, if steel strapping is exposed to damp or wet conditions the strapping will rust and its strength will be significantly reduced. To help combat this though you can buy black painted or galvanised steel strapping that reduces the risk of corrosion.
